Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has withdrawn from England’s squad and will no longer be part of the team for their Euro 2024 qualifying matches this weekend.
The forward suffered an injury in Manchester United’s FA Cup win over Fulham on Sunday.
He was forced off in the closing stages of the Red Devils' 3-1 win over Fulham in the FA Cup quarterfinal at Old Trafford.
Rashford will not be part of the England squad to play Italy on Thursday before hosting Ukraine at Wembley on Sunday.
“The Manchester United forward sustained a knock during the 3-1 victory over Fulham in the Emirates FA Cup quarterfinal at Old Trafford on Sunday,” a statement by Manchester United said.
“Our No.10 required treatment after being hurt in the build-up to Aleksandar Mitrovic’s opener for the visitors and was later withdrawn in the 83rd minute, with Fred taking his place.”
