It was a sorry night for the Nigeria under 20 girls yesterday as they crashed out of the FIFA under 20 women cup in Ccosta Rica.

The Falconet won all 3 games in the group for the first time in our history but fell to Netherlands 2 goals to nil, via two first-half goals.

The wait for an African team to win the women’s Under 20 world cup still continues.

The match was played very late on Sunday the 21st of August by 11:30pm Nigerian time at the Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto in Costa Rica.
