Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has singled out two Los Blancos players, Vinicius and Rodrygo, for special praise ahead of the team’s Champions League semi-final tie with Manchester City on Tuesday.

Perez branded Vinicius as the best player in his position in the world and Rodrygo as a very good player.

Speaking after Real Madrid’s Copa del Rey final win over Osasuna on Saturday, Perez was full of praise for both players, and he said (as quoted by Fabrizio Romano on Twitter): “Vinicius Junior is the best player in the world in his position. We should defend players who produce something special like he does.

“Rodrygo is a very, very good player." and he’s still so young. He’s going to give Madrid fans a lot of fantastic years.
