Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has identified the two teams that will contend with them for the Premier League championship this year.
This Sunday's highly anticipated matchup between Arsenal and the third-placed champions will take place at the Emirates thanks to Guardiola.
The former Barcelona manager thought Arsenal would compete with Liverpool for the Premier League title, despite his insistence that the game would not determine City's title chances.
“Arsenal will be title rivals, along with Liverpool. To analyze the contenders, the idea is the first 10 games; we haven’t played 10; we have to wait, but the big clubs are always contenders,” Guardiola told a press conference on Friday.
