At the end of the season, Paul Onuachu is committed to helping Southampton stay in the Premier League.
Onuachu joined the Saints on the final day of the transfer window from KRC Genk of the Belgian Pro League.
The 28-year-old made his collegiate debut in the weekend's 3-0 loss to Brentford.
The Nigeria international replaced Mohamed Elyounoussi after the break and made a positive impact on the game despite his side’s defeat.
Southampton occupy the bottom spot on the table and face a tough fight to avoid relegation, but Onuachu insists he can help the South Coast club move up on the log.
“I’m very motivated; it’s a huge challenge,” he told the club’s official website.
“Coming here, we are last on the table, and everybody is working to really try to leave the relegation zone."
“It’s a huge challenge, not just for me but for everybody in the team." "I'm going to give it all if I have the chance to play and try to help the team survive.”
Nathan Jones’ side will host Wolverhampton Wanders in their next league game on Saturday.
