Former Liverpool man John Aldridge has said that he can see Mohamed Salah leaving Anfield for the Saudi Arabia club if he is offered a £1 million-a-week salary and the Reds get a good fee for him.

Salah is the latest big name to be linked with a mega-money offer from the Middle East this summer.

The Egyptian international is reportedly the subject of strong transfer interest from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad, who themselves are prepared to sign the former Chelsea forward this summer.

Speaking on the development, Aldridge said via Sunday World, “Salah could be one of the next big names to take the crazy cash on offer in the Saudi League—but that would not be my biggest concern.

“The Reds have already lost Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to the Saudi League, and Salah is the kind of mega-name they will want.

“Liverpool’s star man will be 32 next summer, and if he is offered £1 million a week and the club gets a good fee for him, I can see it happening.”
