Julian Nagelsmann, the manager of Bayern Munich, has acknowledged that he is relieved that former striker Robert Lewandowski did not score against them on Tuesday night.

In the Champions League group match at the Allianz Arena, the Bundesliga champions defeated Barca thanks to goals from the Bundesliga champions.

With two draws, five losses, and an overall score differential of 16-4, the Blaugrana have now gone winless in their last seven trips to Bavaria.

For Bayern, the win came after three consecutive draws in the league.

“Barca had the better chances in the first half. We had to rely on [keeper] Manuel [Neuer].

“After the break, we were more aggressive." We quickly scored two goals. We basically won because of higher efficiency.

“From our side, I am also happy that Lewandowski did not score against us tonight,” Nagelsmann said.
