Just a few days that the Uruguayan cum Manchester United striker, Edinson Cavani swapped jersey number with the club legend, who returned to the club last week, the Uruguayan has said he is very happy to swap the jersey number but he is upset over the club’s decision to prevent him from representing Uruguay during this international break.
The 34-year-old was one of 50 players affected by the Premier League’s decision not to allow players travel to countries on the UK’s COVID-19 travel red list.
Cavani has now admitted he is not happy by the ruling, but respects the decision. .
“We’re exposed to decisions that are made in the organizations of certain tournaments and leagues and either of the two decisions is detrimental to us.
“We do not get rich with the national team. We have a commitment to ourselves and a moral commitment to defend our country.
“We make wealth by wearing the national team’s jersey,” Cavani told a popular TV.
