Alex Iwobi has delayed penning a new contract with Everton as the Toffees fight for Premier League survival.
Everton are keen to tie the Nigeria international to a new long-term contract following his impressive form since the second half of last season.
Iwobi will move to the final year of his current contract this summer.
Talks between his representatives and Everton were moving fast earlier in the campaign, but things appear to have slowed down in recent weeks.
According to Football Insider, Iwobi is waiting to see if Everton will maintain their top-flight status before committing to a new contract.
The 26-year-old has made 27 league appearances for the Merseysiders this season, with one goal and six assists to his name.
