Juventus legend Filippo Inzaghi has lauded Victor Osimhen and named the Napoli star the best forward in the Italian top flight.

Osimhen is currently the top scorer in Serie A with nine goals, despite missing around a month due to injury.

The Nigeria international has also registered 10 goals and recorded three assists in 14 appearances across all competitions for the Partenopei this season.

His impressive scoring form has helped Napoli secure the top spot in the league.

Luciano Spalletti’s side is eight points clear of second-placed AC Milan and is on course to win their first scudetto in 30 years.

“If we think of Napoli, Osimhen is a true centre-forward”, Inzaghi was quoted by TuttoNapoli.

“He attacks deep and keeps the ball; Osimhen is probably the best right now." beyond Benzema, who however is less of an area centre forward and perhaps than Giroud.”

Osimhen was on target as Napoli defeated Premier League club Crystal Palace 3-1 in a friendly on Sunday.
