Former Barcelona striker Thierry Henry praised Ousmane Dembele for his contribution to the team this year at Camp Nou.
At the end of the previous season, there were serious questions about Dembele's future with the Catalan team.
In the summer, when his deal with the Blaugrana was up, he came under fire from the crowd for his lackluster displays.
However, Dembele agreed to a new, two-year contract extension with a lower salary.
Ever since the start of the 2022/23 campaign, Dembele has thrived in attack alongside new signing Robert Lewandowski.
Speaking to CBS Sports (via HITC), Henry said, “It’s really tough to turn the crowd around at the Camp Nou." It is virtually impossible. Guys usually leave. At what Dembele is doing at the moment, he can assist. Pick the ball up with his right hand and now with his left. Head up. Whilst you’re looking at the defender, keep your head up. "
Henry added: “Can he defend? Yes, he can defend. Then Ansu Fati gets the ball and he scores (against Real Sociedad last month). Then again, he is toying with people. He has that in abundance, left or right-footed. He does not even know himself – it is very difficult to deal with him. He has been magnificent. To be able to turn the crowd around at the Camp Nou isn’t an easy one. "
