Bellingham is one of Liverpool and Real Madrid’s main targets.
However, Liverpool are well positioned to sign the midfielder this summer while Real Madrid are waiting until the 2023 window.
A few weeks ago, there was information from England which said that Chelsea, Real Madrid, and Liverpool were very interested in Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham. Currently, only Liverpool and Real Madrid are in the race.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, the English side are pressing to complete the footballer’s signing this summer. That could spoil Real Madrid’s plans.
Real Madrid’s aim is to wait until 2023 as they see him as a natural replacement for Luka Modric and, as of today, they do not have a place in the squad for the Croatian midfielder.
The Real Madrid midfielder will turn 37 next season and his contract expires in June, so everything seems to suggest that this could be his final season at the Bernabeu.
Therefore, Real Madrid are negotiating to have a preferential option to sign him for next year, but they have stiff competition from England. Therefore, Borussia Dortmund told both clubs that Bellingham would not leave for less than 100 million euros.
