Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has said he needs “better players” in his squad to compete next season.
Ten Hag has already won the Carabao Cup and qualified the Red Devils for the Champions League in his first season.
Following their 4-1 win over Chelsea on Thursday night, the Dutchman admitted their recruitment this summer has to be strong.
“We have to work in the summer with this squad, but we also have to strengthen in the window with this squad.
“We want to compete for the title, but it has to be realistic. It is what is there. Now, we are far away so there is a lot of work to do but we need better players if want to compete for the highest,” Ten Hag told Sky Sports.
