The Brazilian star, Neymar, has reiterated his commitment to Paris Saint-Germain, amid rumours that Kylian Mbappe does not want him at the club.
Mbappe became the highest paid footballer in the world when he signed a new three-year deal with the French capital club.
And rumours emerged that the 23-year-old Frenchman does not find Neymar helpful at the club and wants the Brazil international sold this summer.
But Neymar has now said he wishes to remain at the club since his contract has not yet expired.
PSG has already sacked Sporting director, Leonardo, with former Monaco chief Luis Campos expected to be appointed, and the club have been linked with moves for Aurelien Tchouameni and Christopher Nkunku, who are seen as Neymar’s replacements.
Neymar is rumoured to be up for sale – a decision which may have been prompted by Mbappe.
PSG brought in the Brazilian for a world record deal of £220 million from Barcelona in 2017, but will not expect to sell him for that much.
But the 30-year-old, who still has three years left on his contract, insists he is going nowhere.
Asked if he would remain at PSG and try to win the Champions League, Neymar told Canal Football Club: “It has to be with Paris."
I have a contract with PSG, so there are no other possible choices. Yes, it will be with Paris Saint-Germain. ”
