Erling Haaland and Phil Foden both scored hat-tricks in a thrilling Manchester derby as City defeated United 6-3 at the Etihad.

The Red Devils scored their first goal when they were already four goals behind despite giving up six goals, and Anthony Martial scored two more consolation goals after coming off the bench.

The two stars of the show were Haaland and Foden, with the Norwegian extending his incredible record since joining the Premier League over the summer and Foden savoring his brand-new friendship with the striker.

The center-forward has now netted 14 goals in just eight Premier League games, and despite his attempts to downplay the accomplishments, he appears ecstatic to be playing for a dominant City squad.

"Not bad," said Haaland of the game. We scored six goals. What can you say? It’s amazing; we win at home, we score six goals; it’s nice!

You can feel it all the time; you see the passes we give each other. We always want to go forward, we always want to attack. This is what I love about the team. We always want to go and to attack. It’s amazing, there’s nothing more to say.’

Foden took his own tally to five Premier League goals for the campaign so far, well on his way to beating his best tally of nine over a season.

He is loving his link-up with Haaland and how quickly they have built up a winning relationship.

We've built that connection now, we’re finding each other. It’s been a pleasure to be a part of the team, "said the England international.

‘Our determination from kick-off, we were looking right at it and we finished our chances.’
