Meanwhile, Real Madrid have later confirmed that the former Chelsea stopper had suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL).

Following tests carried out on Thibaut Courtois, the player has been diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. The player will undergo surgery in the coming days.
The Belgian star is now set to miss the entirety of the 2023/24 season. It leaves Real Madrid in disarray in the goalkeeping department with the start of the new La Liga season just days away.
