In a highly-anticipated clash, Al-Hilal emerged victorious over Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr in the Saudi Super Cup semi-finals, securing a commanding 2-1 win at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium.
The Saudi Pro League leaders showcased their dominance, with Salem Aldawsari and Malcom scoring in the second half to secure the victory.
However, controversy arose when Al Nassr's Otavio appeared to score just before halftime, only for the goal to be disallowed after VAR ruled Ronaldo offside. Despite a late consolation goal from Sadio Mane in the 89th minute, Al-Nassr couldn't overturn the deficit.
The match took a dramatic turn when Ronaldo received a straight red card in the 86th minute for elbowing an opposition player, adding to the intensity of the showdown.
Following the match, Al-Hilal took to Instagram to cheekily taunt Ronaldo and his team, posting: "We know.. They know.. Their moaning is eternal. It’s just that the whole world knows."
The victory for Al-Hilal marks a significant triumph in the Saudi Super Cup, further solidifying their status as leaders in the Saudi Pro League.
