Erling Haaland, a striker for Manchester City, has bragged that his former Borussia Dortmund teammates and coach were powerless to stop him from scoring against them.

The international from Norway continued his impressive start to life at the Etihad on Wednesday night by defeating Dortmund in the Champions League with a goal in the 84th minute.

Haaland, who cost City £51 million in July when he transferred from the German club, scored an amazing flying volley to give the Premier League champions the victory.

After BT Sport journalist Des Kelly asked Haaland to speak about Dortmund defenders denying him space and said “they clearly know how to stop you”, he responded: “They didn’t stop me, I scored!
But yeah, they played well, they were good. I was quite sure I was going to be followed the whole game because Edin (Dortmund boss Terzic) knows me very well.
“Dortmund were really good today, but in the end, three points is what matters.”

Brentford manager, Thomas Frank, changed things tactically for Arsenal’s visit on Sunday.Frank moved away from the 4-3-3 that was so successful in the win over Leeds United to a 3-5-2.But the switch backfired as Mikel Arteta’s men dominated the midfield, while Brentford’s front two of Ivan Toney and Bryan Mbeumo ended up doing more work in their own half than in the opponent’s.When asked whether the change to 3-5-2 from 4-3-3 contributed to the defeat, he replied ki...
