Akwa United have started the sale of tickets for the Nigeria Premier Football League Week 2 clash against Sporting Lagos.
The Promise Keepers made the announcement on their official X handle.
“Matchday tickets will be sold at affordable rates of five hundred (N = 500) and one thousand (N = 1,000) naira only at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium for the tie against Sporting Lagos, “the message reads.
“As we all know, football is a big business all over the world, and we want to also take advantage of the many opportunities that abound in football.
“Akwa United is a big brand, and we are determined to market our brand, and that can only be achieved with the support and encouragement of all our fans and critical stakeholders in Akwa Ibom State and beyond.
“Some business-minded clubs in the NPFL have enjoyed good support from their fans through ticket sales, and we cannot afford to be left behind anymore. That is why we are appealing to all our fans, supporters, and stakeholders to understand and cooperate with us to succeed in the management of our darling team”.
Both teams will be meeting for the first time in the history of the NPFL.
Sporting Lagos are making their maiden appearance in the top flight after securing promotion from the lower league last season.
