Real Madrid attacking midfielder Marco Asensio has left the club as a free agent, and he is set to join Paris Saint-Germain.
This was disclosed by football transfer guru Fabrizio Romano in a tweet via his Twitter handle on Saturday.
According to Romano, Asensio already made his decision last week to leave Real Madrid.
“Official and confirmed. Marco Asensio leaves Real Madrid as a free agent — the decision was made last week,” Romano tweeted.
“Asensio, set to complete details of his new chapter at Paris Saint-Germain in the next [few] days.”
Asensio played 50 times for Real Madrid this season, but the 27-year-old only started 18 times, scored 12 goals, and contributed eight assists for Ancelotti’s side.
