Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is firm about keeping Ferland Mendy as the team's main left-back and is against selling him to make space for Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Even though Real Madrid is interested in Davies, Ancelotti prefers to stick with Mendy.
It's been said that Real Madrid's management wants to offload Mendy to accommodate Davies and keep Fran Garcia as Davies' backup.
However, as per Diario AS, Ancelotti doesn't agree with this plan.
The Italian coach has given Mendy 12 starts in the team's last 14 matches and doesn't want to let go of the French player.
Mendy apparently needs to choose between signing a new contract or leaving Real Madrid permanently this summer, as his current contract has only 15 months left.
