Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has said he expects the club’s latest arrival, Cole Palmer, to be their last signing of the summer transfer window.
Chelsea has now exceeded £1 billion since May 2022 with the arrival of Palmer from Manchester City for £40 million.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of their Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest on Saturday, the Argentine was asked whether that would conclude Chelsea’s business on deadline day.
He said, “I think so. If something is going on, I don’t know. The last time I spoke to the sporting director was at 11 a.m.
“They will communicate with me after the press conference if there is something.”
