Former Akwa United defender James Ajako has joined Moroccan club FUS Rabat.

Ajako, who joined FUS Rabat on a free transfer, signed a three-year contract.

The 20-year-old severed ties with Akwa United at the end of last season following the expiration of his contract.

The left-back was one of the biggest revelations in the Nigeria Professional Football League last season.

Ajako scored three goals and recorded five assists for the Promise Keepers in the 2022–23 season.

He was named to the Team of the Season.
