Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has blocked Eintracht Frankfurt’s attempts to sign defender Victor Lindelof this summer.
Ten Hag views Lindelof as ‘untouchable’ in the Man United squad.
The Dutchman turned to Lindelof following Lisandro Martinez’s season-ending injury in April. Lindelof played the full 90 minutes in each of Man United’s last nine league matches, the FA Cup semi-final, and the final fixtures against Brighton and Manchester City.
Man United turned away approaches from Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid during the January transfer window.
According to Bild, Frankfurt was also among the clubs that tried to sign Lindelof in January and recently showed interest in its search for a replacement for Evan Ndicka, who will leave the German club at the end of his contract this summer.
With Ten Hag eager to keep him at Man United beyond this summer, Frankfurt has little or no chance of signing the Sweden international.
