Flying Eagles head coach, Ladan Bosso admitted his side must be at their best after they were drawn in a tough group for the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.
Bosso’s side will face five-time winners Brazil, Italy and debutants Dominican Republic in Group D.
The Flying Eagles finished in third position at the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt in March.
The experienced tactician hinted that his team must be at their best from the first game.
“Yes, many people have described our group as tough, but I believe that will get us to be at our best right from the onset,” Bosso told SCORENigeria.
“The reward for all our efforts will be a qualification to the knockout rounds of the tournament.”
The Flying Eagles will open their campaign against the Dominican Republic in Mendoza on May 21.
The West Africans will face Italy three days later also in Mendoza.
They will round up their group stage campaign against Brazil in La Plata on May 27.
