Super eagles coach, Genot Rhor has released a press statement saying the super eagles will take their last group game as one of their most important match, as it is a must win match for both teams.
In the words of the eagle's coach “We love this great player Messi, everybody loves him.But the question for us is not if it’s the last World Cup for him. We are not here to watch him play. We’re here to get a result. We are professionals and we have to defend the colours of Nigeria. In football, there is no mercy, no pity. Everybody wants to win.”
If the super eagles can salvage a draw or a win against Argentina, while Iceland lose to Croatia. This will enable the eagles to proceed to the next stage of the competition. Also, if the Argentine team can win against the eagles while Iceland lose to Croatia, that will be enough for the Messi team to scale through.
Lionel Messi has failed to impress in his last two games at the world cup and he'll be looking forward to a revival against Nigeria.
