El-Kanemi Warriors' technical adviser, Aliyu Zubairu, has identified poor talent nurturing and inadequate data documentation as critical obstacles to the growth of football in Africa.

Speaking at the U-13 Kiddies Football Competition in Ilorin over the weekend, Zubairu expressed concern over the struggles young players face in progressing to professional levels due to these issues.

The rising tactician emphasized the importance of proper guidance and robust data collection systems to help young footballers achieve their full potential.

Zubairu urged organizations like the Youth Sports Federation of Nigeria (YSFON), state football associations, and the national federation to intensify efforts in identifying, documenting, and supporting budding talents.

"The skill and potential I’ve seen among these U-13 players prove that Nigeria’s football future is incredibly promising," he remarked, exuding optimism about the nation’s prospects in the sport.

With enhanced nurturing programs and systematic talent tracking, Zubairu believes Nigeria can unlock a golden generation of football stars.
