Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has cited his justifications for approving the acquisition of Chelsea's Jorginho.

The Spaniard believes that Jorginho's experience will be a huge asset as they pursue the Premier League championship.

The Gunners have acknowledged that they and Chelsea had reached a £12 million agreement to sign the Italian international.

Since he served as Manchester City's assistant coach, Arteta has been a fan of the 31-year-old.

“Jorginho is a midfield player with intelligence, deep leadership skills, and a huge amount of Premier League and international experience.
“Jorginho has won in his career, but he still has the hunger and huge willingness to contribute here."
“We are so pleased to sign Jorginho and welcome him and his family to the club,” Arteta told Arsenal’s official website.
