Sadio Mane, a Senegalese forward, has claimed that his team won twice against Egypt's Mohamed Salah-led side due to 'luck' on their side.

Senegal qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup after defeating Egypt on Tuesday. Mane scored the game-winning goal.

Salah missed a penalty kick during the World Cup playoff in Dakar, but his Liverpool teammate Mane converted the game-winning penalty after the match ended 1-1 on aggregate. Last week, Egypt won the opening leg 1-0.

This was Egypt's second defeat at the Lions of Teranga this season.

In February, Mane scored the game-winning penalty goal as Senegal defeated Egypt to win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON.

According to KingFut, Mane said to ONTime Sports, "I won twice and he [Salah] lost twice, I was luckier to come out on top." I am ecstatic that we won the Africa Cup of Nations and have now qualified for the World Cup; it has been a lifelong ambition of mine."

"I believe it was a difficult game for both teams," he continued. Our supporters pushed us to win, and we never gave up. We knew it wouldn't be easy, but we were determined to win."
