Wolverhampton Wanderers are on the verge of naming Vitor Pereira as their next head coach, according to renowned football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
Romano broke the news early Monday via his X (formerly Twitter) account, revealing that the deal to appoint Pereira is nearly finalized.
“Wolves are closing in on the appointment of Vitor Pereira as new head coach, deal almost done,” Romano tweeted. “Details being fixed on exit clause from Al Shabab as @David_Ornstein reported. It’s all set to be signed.”
This development follows Wolves’ decision to part ways with manager Gary O’Neil and his coaching staff on Sunday. O’Neil’s dismissal came after Wolves suffered a disappointing 2-1 Premier League defeat to Ipswich Town on Saturday.
Stay tuned as Wolves prepare to welcome the experienced Pereira, currently tied to Saudi club Al Shabab, to Molineux Stadium.
