Nigerian singer and internet sensation, Speed Darlington, has spoken out following his release from an extended stint in detention.

According to DAILY POST, Darlington was initially arrested for alleged cyber-stalking after attributing Burna Boy’s Grammy win to his ties with embattled American rapper and producer, Diddy. Notably, Diddy has been in the spotlight over legal battles with the FBI and multiple allegations of sex trafficking and rape.

After securing bail in October, Darlington vowed to continue criticizing Burna Boy unless he received compensation. However, things took a dramatic turn when he was rearrested on November 27, 2024, during a performance in Imo State. He was subsequently detained at Kuje Prison for an extended period.

The singer’s legal team accused Burna Boy of influencing law enforcement to keep Darlington incarcerated despite being granted bail by the Federal High Court on December 23, 2024.

Darlington’s ordeal came to an end on January 21, 2025, when he was finally released.

Reacting to Darlington’s release, Burna Boy reportedly issued a stern warning via Instagram, stating that Darlington would be sent back to jail if he misbehaved again. The post has since been deleted.

Many fans and observers speculated that Speed Darlington would emerge from detention regretful and subdued. But in true Darlington fashion, he defied expectations.

Breaking his silence, the singer posted a captivating video of two rams locked in a fierce battle, their horns clashing intensely. Accompanying the clip, Darlington wrote:

“I’m back. To those fighting, one step back isn’t retreating—it’s gathering energy for a banger comeback!”

The post has since gone viral, sparking mixed reactions from netizens.

With this bold declaration, it seems Speed Darlington is ready to reignite his controversial antics, undeterred by warnings or critics.
