If 14-year-olds are having sex, parents should initiate early sex education, according to popular Afrobeat singer Seun Kuti.

Kuti made the remark in response to a viral video of Chrisland pupils shooting pornographic stuff.

He claims that everything in Nigeria revolves around sex, and that youngsters are bombarded with sexual images in everything from music to sex tapes on the internet, so parents should stop "creating saints" and teach their children about sex.

In his time, 14-year-olds had sex, so it's no wonder that the age for youngsters in this generation has plummeted.

His post on Instagram read: “ Everything in Nigeria is centred around sex. Children are inundated with sexual images. All the songs the media feeds them, everything is hyper-sexualised. Sex tapes of their media role models are everywhere, coupled with the internet.
Just start sex education early instead of forming saints. In my generation, most 14-year-olds were already doing it or planning to do it. I am not surprised the age dropped. ”
