Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus, better known as Joeboy, has responded to the copyright infringement notice that the Grammy-winning singer Asa sent to him.

Joeboy's song "Contour," which was created by master beat maker Tempoe, was released in August 2022.

Joeboy received a copyright infringement notice a few weeks after the song's debut.

The copyright of a musical composition written by Asa during a recording session on September 22, 2020, with Tempoe present, was allegedly violated by "Contour," according to the notice.

The notice, which was given on September 30th, 2022, required Joeboy to take the song down from all digital platforms within twenty-four hours, apologize in writing, pay N300 million, and give Asa a 60% publishing split in addition to other demands.

Joeboy refused to comply and he took to Instagram to share the notice while daring Asa to act.
