Osinachi Nwachukwu's brother, has revealed why the late gospel singer refused to divorce her husband, Peter Nwachukwu.

According to Chiemerie, the Ekwueme singer chose to remain in the abusive marriage because of how her fans would perceive her.

He claimed she was attempting to avoid being labeled as a divorced minister.

Nwachukwu, according to Chiemerie, is slowly killing the singer.

"I know Osinachi very well," Chiemerie stated to reporters. She is a calm, God-fearing woman. She was going through all of this and refusing to tell me because she knew I would know what to do.

"She was basically concealing everything so that no one would talk about her and assume she was divorced." As a result, the man began dealing with her, and she was slowly dying.

He had reported Nwachukwu to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police for culpable homicide, which led to his detention on April 10.

On April 8, the gospel singer passed away at the National Hospital in Abuja, where she was receiving treatment for reported throat cancer.

However, there are reports that Osinachi died as a result of her husband's persistent domestic abuse.
