Kanye West is facing a lawsuit from Lauren Pisciotta, who worked as his assistant for two years, alleging sexual harassment, breach of contract, and wrongful termination.
Pisciotta claims that West sent her inappropriate texts and performed sex acts while on the phone with her, according to reports by US media. She alleges that she was fired in 2022 and never received a promised $3 million (£2.4 million) severance package.
The lawsuit was first reported by TMZ and later confirmed by Rolling Stone, The Wrap, and US Weekly. The BBC has reached out to West's lawyer for a response but has not yet received a reply.
According to the court documents, Pisciotta met West in 2021 while supporting herself through an OnlyFans profile. West hired her to work on the first season of his Yeezy women’s fashion line, and they collaborated on three tracks from his Donda album, though she does not have formal credits on the record. West then hired Pisciotta as his personal assistant with an annual salary of $1 million (£780,000), requiring her to be available "24-7."
The lawsuit claims that West initially allowed Pisciotta to continue her OnlyFans business but later asked her to delete her account in 2022, promising an additional $1 million if she did so. He allegedly wanted her to be "God-like."
