Paul Okoye, better known by his stage name Rudeboy, a member of the Psquare music group, has questioned why tertiary institutions are still in operation while the ongoing collection of Permanent Voters Cards, or PVC, is taking place.
The musician asserted in a tweet posted on his verified account on Thursday that during the protracted Academic Staff Union of Universities, or ASUU, strike, the majority of students in their various states registered for the PVC.
Even though the deadline for PVC collection will pass in the next 10 days, he questioned why they are still being kept in class.
"Of the 74 million young people eligible to vote, 26 million are students who have returned to their studies and the majority of them registered to vote during the ASUU strike.
There are only 10 days left until collection, @inecnigeria why are students still in class at this point? He questioned.
