On the occasion of Psquare's 41st birthday, Peter Obi, the Labour Party's (LP) presidential candidate, took to social media to express his sincere gratitude.
Obi posted a picture of the twin brothers Peter and Paul Okoye on his Instagram page on Friday to celebrate the music duo.
The presidential candidate praised them for leading the Obidient movement and prayed for continued blessings for them.
As they celebrated their birthdays today, he wrote, "My dear @imkingrudy and @peterpsquare of the Psquare fame, I wish you more blessings. I appreciate you contributing to the Obidient movement with your voice. Our labor will never be in vain. "Happy birthday, Psquare!”
The duo were the first to openly declare support for Obi’s presidential ambitions immediately after he dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP.
Peter Obi had in May announced his decision to leave PDP.
Reacting to Obi’s decision via his Twitter handle, Peter Okoye said his support for Peter Obi remains no matter which party he belongs to.
Peter said, “Anywhere Peter Obi goes, we move with him." No time. We are following him as an individual, not because of a party! We move.”
Paul Okoye also described Obi as the “most qualified” candidate.
