Renowned Nollywood producer and marketer, Chijioke Ike, has passed away.
The sad announcement was made by his colleague, Ajemba Stanley Chibueze, popularly known as Stanley Ontop, through an Instagram post on Wednesday.
Stanley revealed that Ike died suddenly at his family home in Eastern Nigeria during a family gathering. According to him, the producer and marketer slumped unexpectedly, leaving his loved ones and colleagues in shock.
In his heartfelt tribute, Stanley wrote:
"Black day for Nollywood in the eastern part as we lost a vibrant Nollywood producer and marketer @globalgoldenmovies. This one pain me ooo. Omo waten the sup. According to reliable sources, he slumped during a family meeting in his hometown and passed away. May his soul rest in peace."
The untimely death of Chijioke Ike has left a void in the Nollywood community, particularly in Eastern Nigeria, where his contributions to the industry were highly regarded.
Carter Efe's Cryptic Post Sparks Worries
In a separate development, popular Nigerian skit maker Carter Efe has caused a stir online with a troubling post about his life. Taking to his X handle (formerly Twitter), Efe hinted at the possibility of leaving the earth soon, sparking concern among fans and followers.
His post, accompanied by a heartbreaking emoji, read:
"Might leave this earth January 10th."
The message has drawn emotional reactions, with many pleading with him to reconsider such thoughts. A fan, @YKoluwaseun, replied:
"If you leave, who go dey give us mid skit?"
To this, Carter Efe responded, stating that his message might sound amusing now, but people would regret losing him.
