Famous Nigerian Afrobeats musician David Adeleke, professionally known by his stage name Davido, has spoken about losing individuals in his life.

Talking about losing loved ones, including his only son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, in an interview with Beat FM, Davido noted that he dedicated a tune from his new album "Timeless" to them.

The singer, whose album Timeless was released today, March 31, described those he had lost as legends.

Recall that the superstar lost his only son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, on October 31, 2022, after losing his closest friend and bodyguard.

According to the singer in the trending interview on social media, Legends Can Never Die was written as a result of his admission that even though they are no longer with him physically, he still senses their spiritual presence around him.

”Like over time." Even everybody knows that I lost my mother at 10. losing my best friend and my bodyguard in one to two years, and then losing a child and all that together.
”I don’t think the song is really sad. I just feel like since I have lost all of them, I don’t want to really feel like they have left me spiritually. I still have them around me, kind of. They were all legends. So that’s why I say that a legend never dies,” he said.

He added that the music is dedicated to everyone who has lost one or more dear ones.
