Famous Canadian rapper Tory Lanez was found guilty of all three charges stemming from the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, a former coworker and friend.
A Los Angeles jury on Friday found Daystar Peterson, better known as Tory Lanez, guilty of shooting Megan Thee Stallion in both of her feet following an argument about their romantic entanglements and respective careers in the summer of 2020.
He was convicted of all counts, which included assault with a semiautomatic firearm, carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.
Megan revealed that she had gotten into a fight with Lanez and her friend, Harry, as they were driven home by Lanez’s security guard, Jaquan Smith.
Megan, however, alighted the vehicle, after which she was shot at repeatedly by Tory through the car window while saying “Dance B*t*h.”
He had earlier pleaded “not guilty” in November 2020, after he was arraigned; he now faces up to 22 years in prison.
