ThankGod Omori Smith, also known as TG Omori or Boy Director, is a well-known Nigerian music director and cinematographer.

He has finally revealed why he stopped filming for singer Asake.

Recall that in 2022, the hit song "Organize" marked the beginning of Omori and Asake's collaboration.

However, when Asake hired a different director for his most recent music videos, rumors started to circulate.

According to rumors, Asake was angry with TG because their most recent effort, "YOGA," did not garner as much attention as his previous videos.

Speaking about his business deal with Asake, TG emphasized that Olamide, the musician and head of the YBNL record label, believes in giving people opportunities and that it would be unfair to hold that against him. This was stated in an interview on the Zero Condition podcast.

Even after a divorce between a husband and wife, people do take a break. After producing about 12 videos, I believe we have accomplished enough. We remain incredibly calm. You are aware that this is a business and that you must respect the choices made by your clients in the end.

“I like when artists have the freedom to try out new things. I don’t want because we are guys you must shoot with me. I don’t know why that happened.
“To me, it is crazy love because me and YBNL are forever. And you know how me and Olamide ‘go like way back’, and Olamide is the type that makes sure that everybody eats. And before I came, he was working with other directors, and he gave me the opportunity to also do my thing.
“So he’s working with a very creative guy now. A very good guy who’s doing well too. That’s Olamide for you. And if I take that personal, then I have messed up.”
