The Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer; Ayo Balogun who is socially know has Wizkid, has bagged another award yesterday to his shelf as he has won the award for the Best African Act in this year’s edition of the MTV Europe Music Awards.

Wizkid beats the likes of Tems, Diamond Platnumz, Amaarae, and Focalistic in the tightly-contested category to get the award.

Congratulating the Essence singer on his win, organisers of the event via their Instagram handle, @mtvbaseafrica, wrote, “HUGE congratulations to BIG WIZ @wizkidayo for winning Best African Act! From Lagos to the world #MTVEMA #StarBoyHQ.”

Meanwhile, the superstar singer took to his verified Instagram story to repost a video snippet of this announcement as the winner of the category
