A recent strike on Syria's capital, Damascus, has resulted in the loss of four members of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, including the Syrian intelligence chief and his deputy.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) officially confirmed the casualties in a statement, pointing fingers at Israel as the perpetrator.

The strike, which occurred on Saturday, targeted a high-security zone in the Mazzeh neighborhood, known to be the residence of IRGC leaders and pro-Iran Palestinian factions. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a British-based war monitor with sources inside Syria, six people lost their lives in the attack.

The war monitor reported that the strike was carried out by an Israeli missile, specifically targeting a four-story building. The impact not only claimed lives but also resulted in the complete destruction of the building, where leaders aligned with Iran were purportedly holding a meeting.

As of now, Israel has not provided any immediate comment on the incident. The international community watches closely as tensions escalate, awaiting further developments in this unsettling chapter of regional strife.
