The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has reacted to the unprofessional conduct of people at the burial of the former Chief of Staff; Mallam Abba Kyari at the Gudu cemetery in Abuja yesterday which has led to a lot of condemnation on various social media.
It will be recalled that there was a trending video yesterday in which one of the people that helped to laid the corpse underground unprofessionally removing his Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) outside the cemetery, and this is not in accordance with the stipulated guidelines by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
In statement released by the FCTA yesterday, FCTA stated that professional were deployed to the cemetery yesterday immediately to decontaminate the place and the abandoned PPE has been professionally removed and also the man that was showed in a video that moved close to the corpse without PPE has been identified and has been isolated.
It will be recalled that experts says that the virus can stay on virus for 4-7 days and this is was made a lot of people to be concerned about the unprofessional way the PPE was removed by the man.
