In a recent ruling, the Abuja Federal High Court has granted a two-week bail to the former Commander of the Force Intelligence Response Team, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Abba Kyari.

This temporary release is specifically to allow Kyari to return home and finalize his mother’s burial rites.

Kyari, who was apprehended on February 14, 2022, by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), is currently facing serious drug-related charges. The court has scheduled Friday, May 31, as the date to determine the outcome of his bail application.

This development in Kyari's legal saga provides him a brief respite amidst ongoing proceedings, allowing him to fulfill crucial family obligations.
