A heartbreaking accident occurred at the River Niger Bridge head in Onitsha, Anambra State, resulting in the loss of two innocent lives.

Reports indicate that the tragedy unfolded due to a truck experiencing brake failure, leading to the fatal incident. The heartbreaking event took place on Saturday, at approximately 5:00 pm local time. Miraculously, the mother of the deceased children managed to survive the ordeal.

An eyewitness who was present at the scene recounted the horrifying details, stating, "The trailer which was heading towards Asaba lost control and hit the mother and her children alongside other passengers waiting to board vehicles heading to Asaba. The mother was lucky, as she escaped, but her two children were crushed to death."

Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones of the deceased children, as well as those injured in the accident. May they find solace and strength during this difficult time, and may measures be implemented to prevent such tragic accidents from occurring in the future.
