Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, the former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has dismissed allegations that the All Progressives Congress, APC, has 41 million members.

Recall that Buhari, speaking at the party's national convention on Saturday, stated that the APC is now Nigeria's largest political party.

He stated that the APC's numerical strength has recently increased to the point where it can easily win elections.

However, Kola Ologbondiyan of the PDP, who disputed with Buhari's assertions, claimed that the APC is planning to utilize the story to rig the upcoming general elections in Ekiti, Osun, and 2023.

"The claim by @OfficialAPCNg that it has over 40 million members is a lie." This arrogant lie is not backed up by any actual facts or data collection. "It's yet another grandiose story aimed at rigging the upcoming general elections in Ekiti, Osun, and 2023." Nigerians, on the other hand, are wiser. They are accustomed to the APC's use of fictitious membership counts in the run-up to elections. After all, in the Anambra governorship race, the APC claimed to have enrolled almost 500,000 members but only received 43,000 votes.

"Let's grab our PVC and get this latest falsehood from the hierarchy out of the way."
