In a recent meeting with a delegation of APC stakeholders from Anambra State, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, disclosed that President Bola Tinubu has given approval for a comprehensive blueprint aimed at the emancipation and takeover of the South East geopolitical zone.

The announcement, made at the APC headquarters in Abuja, marks a significant step towards integrating the South East into mainstream national politics, according to the former governor of Kano State. Ganduje expressed his joy, comparing the occasion to a festive celebration and emphasizing the importance of unity among South East politicians within the APC.

Ganduje revealed, "Let me announce to you that President Tinubu has approved the blueprint for the political liberation, emancipation, and de-marginalization of the South East. The blueprint will make your voice heard, louder, and wider on the APC platform, enabling you to negotiate for the political leadership of the country."

Acknowledging that past disunity hindered political achievements in the region, Ganduje stressed the need for solidarity among South East APC members. He pointed to the ongoing liberation efforts in Imo State, assuring that a similar transformation would unfold in Anambra in 2025.

Joining the conversation, Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, along with counterparts from Kwara, Yobe, and Nasarawa states, urged South East APC stakeholders to seize control of the zone's destiny. Uzodimma expressed surprise at the lag in political representation from the region, considering its notable achievements in other fields.

The Chairman of the APC Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF) highlighted the incremental progress in Anambra State and called on supporters and leaders to draw lessons from the past, emphasizing unity and a renewed spirit to propel the South East back into the forefront of Nigerian politics.
