In a bid to enhance public awareness, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim, the Command's Public Relations Officer, issued the following safety guidelines to help citizens stay safe and avoid falling victim to fraud:

1. Stay Vigilant: Always be aware of your surroundings when using an ATM. Ensure the machine is in a well-lit, secure location.
2. Protect Your PIN: Cover the keypad while entering your PIN to prevent others from viewing it.
3. Inspect Your Debit Card: Avoid using cards with signs of tampering. Opt for debit cards with chip technology for added security.
4. Keep Your PIN Confidential: Never share your PIN with anyone, and avoid using easy-to-guess combinations.
