The local government chairman of Ejigbo in the state of Osun has been confirmed dead today, the Chairman by name Hon Gbenga Ayegbayo was elected in the year 2018.



Reports have it that the deceased has been battling with an undisclosed illness for several months before finally kick the bucket today. 

According to a source, Ayegbayo died at a private hospital in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. However, fellow All Progressive Part Memebers of the deceased chairman has been trooping to pay homage to the late politician

It is instructive to note that Ejigbo in Osun had been in the news recently after over 127 Ivory Coast returnees suspected to have contracted Coronavirus were camped at an isolation centre in the community.

At least 17 of the returnees later tested positive for the virus and remain at the isolation facility in Ejigbo.
